Christina “Plush” Gill was born near and raised in Hillsborough, New Jersey with her younger brother. Her love of history sparked a lifelong interest and led her to the local renaissance festival where she received the nickname Plush. Soon after high school she left to travel around the country exploring, listening to the stories of strangers, and making new friends.

Currently she travels with her partner, Tony, three dogs and one cat. She continues to research her heritage and familial ties while she works at festivals and conventions selling moccasins and other handmade products. In her free time, she photographs hidden treasures of the back roads and National Parks.

Born Matthew David Rose, I first became interested in my Rose roots in my mid teens, after relatives of my father's (Dr Kenneth D. Rose and his Daughter Beth Marie Rose Dwyer) wrote a family book on the Roses that had migrated and settled in Nebraska (Adams County).

I've lived most of my life in West Michigan. Grew up in a small town here and currently live with my wife, Gayle and our two dogs, Otis and Bella, in Holland, Michigan.

In the last couple years I've gotten more interested in my Scottish heritage and our Clan. I got involved with a local Celtic festival that was just starting out and was intrigued with the Clan groups attending that festival.

I volunteered to help with that festival in this past year (2023), joined CRI and hosted a Rose Clan tent at that festival. It was a lot of work, but fun and rewarding, as I've learned so much more and am able to share that knowledge with others at festivals in our area.

I now look forward to serving the Clan as Tent Convener and working with other members to help them host Clan Rose tents at festivals across the US!

I am proud to be a member, and happy to support our Clan in all ways possible!
