Welcome members of Clan Rose Association to Clan Rose International
Let me be the first to welcome you to Clan Rose International. We are happy to have you as part of our family.
I would like to begin with a little bit about how and why Clan Rose International (CRI) was formed. As many of you may or may not know we were former members of Clan Rose Association or CRA. Some of us were regular members and a few of us were actually on the Board of Directors for CRA. Quite quickly we began to have some issues with the way CRA was being handled by its President. We did not agree with the ideological aspect of it nor several other items that were of major concern to us. The idea of placing yourself into a position that the other members did not vote on and using it as a platform to abuse the position was both unfathomable, distasteful and very disrespectful. Our clan chief as well as members in this group were insulted and threatened. And the Rose name was used for both financial and social status gain. There are several other situations and infractions that I will not elaborate on. Needless to say, that this went against our clan motto of Constant and True.
Due to these increasing problems many of us, which included a few of the CRA Board of Directors, decided to break away and create a new society. We were all in agreement that we wanted to make something very special for the Rose clan. So as with all things we spent several days and nights working out details to make our dreams and ideas a reality. We found other Roses out there with the same principles we had and brought them into the fold. After many months we were finally up and running and had begun Clan Rose International. One of our first major discussions was to make sure that our Clan Chief, David Rose 26th Baron of Kilravock, was involved with every aspect of what happens to CRI as well as all of our future endeavors. Chief David had been denied any doings with CRA as well as having been insulted and degraded many times. We contacted Chief David and got him on board as well as his two oldest daughters. The only major stipulation that the chief asked was that we make this a truly international group for all Roses across the globe.
In June 2022 we had the great pleasure of signing the Clan Rose International charter making our group official. Since then, we have grown exponentially.
We have kept our principles quite simple but yet hold them very dear. We recognize that Chief David Rose is our legitimate clan chief recognized by the Lord Lyon and as such holds the respect and honor that he is due. Our motto of Constant and True is something we strive for in our clan. Our clan has a rich history that we are proud of and that we want to continue to embrace and cherish as well as teach others about. All Roses are welcome. It does not matter what your religion, politics or any other personal choices are. You are a Rose first and foremost. We welcome all of our Rose family with open arms.
In our two and a half years as an organization we have accomplished so much. We have members from 11 different countries and four continents. We have our United States Branch of CRI and a United Kingdom Branch. We host tents across the country and in Scotland for Clan Rose. We also have pipers and athletes that represent our little clan. And we all work together for the betterment of the Rose clan and name.
